Being Productive: Easy Time Management Tricks

Do you ever feel short on time? Are you always running late? If so, you may need to hone your time management skills. You will feel much more stressed! If organizing your life and managing your time with ease are important to you, read on.
Set timers. If you have a difficult time focusing, set a timer for the length of time you are able to work. If you would like to work for 60 minutes, set a timer for 15 minute chunks and take a break in between until you're done.

Try using the calendar feature on your cell phone to manage your time. Since most people carry their cell phones with them at all times, you will always have your schedule with you. This will help you improve your life because you will never miss another appointment or important date.
Take some time to schedule some time for your interruptions. You need to be able to plan some time that you can be taken away from from the tasks you're working on. For instance, maintaining concepts similar to "office hours." Office hours can be thought of as planned interruptions.
Do not be afraid to tell people to leave you alone when you are working. Hang a sign on the door, lock the door and block your phone calls when you need to get something done. This will help you keep your train of thought and focus on the task at hand. You will be far more productive without any interruptions.
If you are having trouble managing an entire schedule, concentrate on isolated tasks. Trying to do everything at once only leads to trouble. If you try to multi-task excessively, you will just end up tired and producing poor quality work. Take a minute to relax and breathe as you work on a single project through to its completion.
Analyze just what you have been doing wrong if you struggle with time management. Figure out why you're losing focus when it comes to sticking with certain tasks. If you aspire to better time management, then you need to really isolate what is working for and against your current scheduling.
Exercise
Rather than taking public transportation to work or driving, walk or ride your bike if the distance is not too far. This is a good way to work an exercise routine into your day without taking extra time to do it. Of course, getting to work will take a little longer, so make sure you allow time for that.
Nutrition
In order to manage your time well, you've got to manage your health well. Studies show that people who don't get proper sleep or nutrition don't function as well throughout the day. When every minute counts, you want to be on top of your game. Eating and sleeping well is half the battle!
Your life will improve with good time management. You'll be less stressed out if you efficiently use your time. This will take some time for you to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, you will see how much better your life can be.
